"If you buy me, I will love you..."

Yahoo tells me that in 40 years time, or less, people may be having robots as lovers.

Meaning, not only will the robots be able to have emotions, personality and consciousness in relating to you, they will also be able to say "they love you just like a human would say 'I love you,' and say it as though they mean it..."

How exceptionally FREAKY. 

Dylan Evans nailed it when he said the paradox here is that any relationship with a robot will be based on the belief that love is neither unconditional nor eternal.

But love IS unconditional and eternal.

How would you like to BUY a robot's love?
